The end of summer always brings a flood of various festivals. From all sides, famous stars flock in to visit this small republic and play monster festivals. Often times, however, the lesser-known club bands get pushed into the background. Therefore, scores of enthusiasts decided to organize the festival Reverberation (DoZvuk) to display some of Prague's best homegrown talents.
What exactly is the festival, Reverberation? Reverberation, as a main objective for the bands performing, it to of course show off their high-quality sound to the wider public. None of these bands remain in one genre, but cross the entire spectrum of music genres that have some connection to rock music.
Reverberation 2010 Program
This year's festival will be held on Sunday, August 29th at Futurum Music Club (Zborovská 7, Prague 5). Futurum is more than appropriate as a venue because it offers large and comfortable rooms with excellent sound, and most importantly, a full bar with reasonable prices. There are even rest areas for those who will want to relax a while, as well as easy access day and night.
The club is open for visitors at 16:00 and the official start of the festival is at 16:15. You can buy tickets in advance for 100, - CZK on the spot for 150, - CZK and some lucky ticket will also win some contest!
The first 100 visitors who arrive between 16:00 and 18:00 can look forward to seeing the crossover band, Five o'clock tea playing their hybrid hip hop Czech rock, full of energy. Another band playing is Neosound, whose members are also known from nuclear Vokurek funk, but are now on the crossover fast track. Fans of harder music performances will certainly be interested in the band dress code, which he played even on the Vltava, and the Core Area. Neosound's music is incredibly catchy with the first listen, and their debut demo, Unknown Soldier was critically very well received.
From the sharp guitars, visitors can now relax a bit for the performance by the band Genius, who plays a more alternative style of rock with shades of funk and scattered elements of a harder nature. Furthermore, the festival will feature Chicken's Flight, which promises an incredible mix of musical genres and is always full of surprises. It is worth noting for example that the band's guests include a violinist who toured with Rod Stewart and a cellist who became a laureate of the Prague Spring.
The breaks will see performances by jugglers, flexible streetdancers, and beatboxing rap battles. In addition, the projections prepared skateboarding videos from Puzzle Videos. So come to forget the worries of ordinary days! Come and enjoy a good end to Reverberation summer 2010!
